Still Sunny in England
Okay, it's been raining over most of the country, but apparently this little patch of sun is following me around. Let's hope this keeps up.Yesterday I saw Miyazaki's Howl's Moving Castle. WOW! Very powerful. At one point, when one of the characters gets freed from a curse that had turned him into a stick figure, I burst into tears. The film says a lot about queer families and how some of us have to work harder than others to create a family for ourselves.
I met with the Oxford Quakers for early morning worship and breakfast (7:30 AM!). I was shocked to see 13 people show up. Off to Bristol now to see Willie Hewes!

I was shocked to see 13 people shoe up.
At first I thought this was a British expression, but then I realized that it's a typo. I woke up too early. :)
Oops, it was early for me when I typed it. Let me go and fix that! tee-hee
I would like to see that film sometime. It sounds like something that I would enjoy.
holy shit...

oooh man, i hope you're having fun
tell willie i said hello
Morgan, I guess great minds photgraph alike.
Willie says hi back. She is delightful and so insanely talented.
And yes, I am having a blast here. My mind is expanding to the point of exploding. It is funny because I have been to the UK eight times before this (living here for up to three months at a time) and this time is so very special. I think since I've come out and embraced who I really am, I see the world with new eyes. It is really wild.
Does that make sense?
